Mike Messenger, a midfielder with the Limestone College Saints lacrosse team, was named the Conference Carolinas Player of the Week for April 11-17.
It is the second time the Surrey native has been named Player of the Week. Messenger was the Offensive Player of the Year last season and equalled his career-high with a 10-point game (six goals, four assists) in a 25-6 win over Belmont Abbey. He followed it up with two goals and an assist in an 18-7 win over Lake Erie.
Messenger is tied for second in the league with 42 goals on the year. He ranks third in Conference Carolinas with 62 points, helping Limestone College to a 15-0 (win-loss) start to the season.
