Two Maple Ridge ball players represented British Columbia at the Baseball Canada Midget Championships in Trois-Rivieres, Que. last weekend.
Pitcher Cole Stovman and outfielder Cole Johnson were part of a Team BC squad that had a tough tournament, losing four out of five games.
Their one win was a 4-1 victory over Manitoba, in the game to decide seventh and eighth places.
Lefty reliever Stovman pitched five innings and scattered nine hits, while striking out nine and allowing just one earned run.
Johnson hit .300, with three hits in 10 at bats, three walks and two runs scored.
