Local athletes made numerous trips to the medal podium at last weekend’s the BC Winter Games in Mission.
Surrey residents won six gold medals, four silver and 11 bronze medals, while competitors from Delta earned seven gold, four silver and nine bronze.
Fraser Valley (Zone 3) finished atop the medal standings with 103 total medals, including 30 gold, 33 silver and 40 bronze medals.
Fraser River Delta (Zone 4), which includes North Delta, placed fourth with 22 gold, 13 silver and 20 bronze medals.
