Pentictonites dominated the Hoodoo Adventures Ullr’s Winter Triathlon on Feb. 21.

The event took place at Apex Mountain Resort and Nickel Plate Nordic Centre and was the first sanctioned Winter Triathlon in B.C. Ullr’s featured a 16 kilometre mountain bike; 10-km nordic ski and eight-km mountain run.

On the female side, Barb Cutjar took first in two hours, 27 minutes and 38 seconds, while Kelowna’s Marg Fedyna was second in 2:36:50. Winning the men’s side was Tom Evans in 1:52:55, followed by Dave Matheson in 2:06:50 and Kevin Cutjar in 2:10.

The relay was won by a Kelowna team in 2:21:24.

The Ullr’s Winter Triathlon pays tribute to a classic and once popular local race from the 1990s.  The event attracted 20 participants.
