Eunice Johnson, currently the referee scheduler for the Juan de Fuca Soccer Association, was honoured recently by the Lower Island Soccer Association for her years of volunteer service.
Johnson, who took over scheduling in the fall of 1986, was presented with the President’s Award for her nearly 30 years doing the job.
LISA executives remarked that during that time Johnson has seen her sons and grandsons graduate their youth soccer careers, the boys and girls organizations amalgamate into the Lower Island Soccer Association, and turf fields become the norm around Greater Victoria.
