Terry Gregory’s rink secured the first seed in the upcoming playoff round in the Haney Masters’ Curling League, after recording a resounding 8-2 win over Andy Ferguson.

With William Menkveld throwing skip rocks, the combination of Reg Nelligan, Bruce Festing and Joe Querin ran their unbeaten record to 11 wins and a tie in capturing first spot.

Three rinks – Greg Hook, Jack Stadel and Jim Maitland each picked up easy victories to clinch playoff spots

Jock Anderson, Paul Darbyshire and Hilly Boonstra curled brilliantly in grabbing a 5-1 lead by the third end,  and Hook drew into the house  to count five as they manhandled Bill Gardner’s rink of Rudy Baird, Rob Snowball and Ron Smith.

Stadel, along with veterans Bill Hanula, Gary Sawatsky and George Lagerstrom, made short work of Eric Holler while Maitland kept pace with a win over the Peter Koehler rink.
