THE COMOX VALLEY Mazda Peewee Chiefs Player of the Week is Gabe Schovanek. The Chiefs travelled to Victoria last weekend, resulting in a loss 5-1 to the Saanich Braves and a win 4-2 against the Juan de Fuca Grizzlies. The victory was a result of a great team effort with good positional play. This weekend the team has an exhibition game with the Nanaimo Clippers on Saturday and a league home game against the Cowichan Capitals on Sunday.
