Brad McClure has scored winning goals in back-to-back games for the Penticton Vees. The Vees captain made it 2-0 against the Surrey Eagles with 1:30 remaning in the second period at the South Okanagan Events Centre.
The Vees scored four more goals in front of the crowd of 1,819 on hand for a 6-0 lead before the Eagles finally struck on a tally by Danton Heinen. McClure, who finished with three points, added his second of the night with six minutes remaining.
The Vees opened the scoring when Chris Rygus and Steen Cooper set up Ben Dalpe. Other scorers for the Vees included Blake Butzow, Anthony Conti, Brett Beauvais and Matthew Serratore.
The Vees power play struck once, while they killed all three Eagles power plays. Olivier Mantha made 31 saves for his 10th win of the season, his sixth at the SOEC.
