The eighth annual Kelly Smith Memorial Golf Tournament was a huge success, Aug. 10 at Crown Isle golf course.

With the help of many sponsors and lots of golfers, organizers were able to raise $25,317.

All proceeds went to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada in Kelly’s name.

The 19 Wing Fire Department would like to thank major sponsor RevyAuto, and other hole-in-one sponsors C.T.S. Coastal Transportation and Storage, Bryce Hansen Realty and Complete Auto Clinic.

While there were no hole-in-one winners this year, there was a registration early bird draw for an RV rental for a week from RevyRV. Mac McIntyre was the winner.

A thank you also goes out to Tru Value Foods for providing a snack bag, and Comox Fire Rescue for providing water and food on the course.

A big thank you to all volunteers who helped make the tournament a great accomplishment.
