There was an excellent turnout for the opening of the Men’s Club on Sunday. The weather was cloudy with a few sunny periods, but the rain managed to hold off.
Almost 50 men teed it up for the four-man best ball. Although the grounds were a little soggy, everyone seemed to have a good day.
The overall winners were the foursome of Craig Acland, Steve Acland, Keith Gauthier and Clarke Crow. On the gross side, the team of Mike Pechor, Matt Mesic, Tyler Ruel and Colton Buffie came in with 68.
At second low gross with 69 was the group of Preben Rasmussen, Colin Hamilton, Wayne Johnstone and Masami Hirayama.
On the net side of things, coming in with a net 57 was the team of Cal Davies, Jack Sparks, Bill Bjornson and Tyler Ibsen.
Next was the group of Al Wright, Glen Trask, Don MacGowan and Chris Gardiner carding a 58.
Third low net with 61 was the group of Steve Pointon, Phil Anker, Dave Mann and Darren Van Dyk.
The final net prize went to Dan Cheetham, Ken Fong,Vito Caldaruko, and Chad Wutke shooting net 62.
Next Sunday, April 3 is an open day with prizes awarded for the best gross, best net, closest to the pins and charity closest the pin all up for grabs.
