It has been an honour to work with a dedicated group of volunteers to keep Junior “B” Hockey in Golden, BC. The Golden Rockets organization is proud of the young men that we have had come through the organization in the past 19 years and look forward to continuing to help these young men achieve their dreams, whatever those might be. We are extremely proud of the improvements that we have seen and appreciate their efforts, not only self improvement but also in bringing such exciting sport entertainment to the community.
The Golden Rockets have been busy filling sandbags for the Guides, helping with the Golden Food Banks’ Fall Food Drive and with unloading trucks at the food bank.
This year the Golden Rockets sent five players to the KIJHL All Star games, where they made us proud! As this article goes to press the Golden Rockets have four players in the Leagues’ Top 20 and we are set to take on the Creston Valley Thundercats in the first round of the playoffs.
None of this would be possible without the unwavering support of our sponsors, advertisers, businesses, volunteers and billet homes. Nor would it be possible without the support of the other arena users and the arena staff, who often have to accommodate our needs with little notice.
