The Quesnel Millionaires clinched the last playoff spot in the BCHL interior conference following a loss by the Prince George Spruce Kings.
Despite a 5-2 loss to host Pencticton Vees, the Mills secure the final playoff spot because the Spruce Kings, trailing by two points, lost their final game of the season 4-2 against the Westside Warriors.
In Pencticton, the Vees went 3-4 on the powerplay to record their 38th win of the season to go along with three ties and two overtime losses to finish with 81 points.
Taylor Orser and Spencer Graboski scored for the Millionaires. Adam Harris faced 31 shots in the loss.
The Millionaires will start the first round of the playoffs on the road, either against the Vees or the Salmon Arm Silverbacks who trail the Vees by two points, but have a game in hand.
If the Vees and Silverbacks each finish with 81 points, the Silverbacks would lay claim to second place with one more win than Penticton.
The Mills have one more game to play in the regular season against the Westside Warrior Sunday afternoon.
