Thousands of racing fans were in Black Creek on Saturday and Sunday for the third weekend of the Saratoga Speedway’s 2018 racing season.

Some of the racers were as young as 11 years old, coming from the speedway’s racing school.
The weekend also included appearances from the kid-favourite Robo-Dragon – a 30-foot-tall, fire-breathing car eating machine, and three monster trucks, which entertained the crowd with car-crunching jumps off of ramps and spinning donuts.
Racing action will be back at the Saratoga Speedway this weekend, with outlaw drag racing, pro and street division, and time attack.
This year is the Saratoga Speedway’s 50th year. The Black Creek-based venue is the largest outdoor seating race track on Central Vancouver Island and is able to accommodate 2,800 spectators.
