Brian McLean Chevrolet sponsored a great night of racing, featuring some of the fastest cars at Saratoga Speedway last Saturday. The Sprint cars, I.M.C.A Modifieds, Island Mini Stocks, Bomber cars and the Motorcycles were all on the racing card.

A new track record was set in the Sprint car division.

Mark Stuart (#15) set a time of 14.549, beating the old record of 15.557 set by Jesse Dardengo (#52) last year. A season high 13 cars took to the track for the 30-lap main event. On lap five, a terrible accident occurred; Matt Verhagen (#43) and Shane Woolcock (#08) got tangled up, sending Woolcock into the trees in turn one. Woolcock would be okay, but his car was totalled, ending his night. The main event belonged to Jeff Bird (#55), who held off a hard charging Stuart to hold on for the win.

Mike Nyeste (#96) dominated in the Island Mini Stock division, winning the dash and leading all but five laps of the 30 lap main event.

Kevin Noble (#53) was having a rough night in the I.M.C.A Modified division. Noble was struggling with mechanical issues all night, but managed to get his car back to form for the main event, holding off Tim Openshaw (#44) to win his second main event of the year.

Charlie Ackerman (#24) had a great night in the Bomber car division. Ackerman won the dash, and led all but six laps of the 30-lap feature race, inching himself closer to the points lead.

Bruce Moran (#68) won all but one race in the Motorcycle division.
