Jasek was a sixth round pick by the Canucks in 2015 and has spent parts of the last four seasons with the Comets. His most productive season was 2019-20 when he collected 27 points in 56 games. This past season the Czech native scored 23 points in 28 games.
He signed a one-year deal with the Pelicans and the Canucks can maintain his rights with a qualifying offer if they choose to do so.
Final details on the deal between the city of Abbotsford and the Aquilini Investment Group are still being worked out, as the notice of intent to award the Abbotsford Centre facility operations and management contract remains pending.
