Isaac Elmore of Smithers races in Terrace last Saturday, during the Terrace Motocross Association’s first Fall Series race. Local riders will have a chance to race at home next week, as the Smithers Motocross Association (SMXA) will be holding an exhibition race on Sunday, July 24 at their track on Donaldson Road, between Telkwa and Smithers. Registration starts at 8 a.m. on race day, or riders can register the previous night between 6 and 8 p.m. Cost is $30 for each class entered, plus a $20 fee for non-SMXA members. There’s a $5 cover charge for spectators. Racing starts at 10:30 a.m., in classes including Powder Puffs, 65cc, 85cc, and Beginner, Junior and Advanced in the 250 and 450 classes. SMXA memberships will also be available on race day.
