The Mount Arrowsmith Skating Club season began with a two-week summer skating school in August for junior and senior club members, working on new solos or polishing up current ones with guest coach/choreographer Anne McGraw.
Some skaters attended the Vancouver Island Region Development Seminar held in Parksville in September. The highlight was learning and working with Patrick Chan, seven-time Canadian National Champion and Olympian.
The club’s winter schedule is now well underway with a total of twenty skaters (juniors, seniors and Special Olympics) competing in the Interclub competition held in Campbell River on the weekend of November 16-18. The club is very proud of all the skaters and their accomplishments.
