A former Abbotsford tradition is returning to local basketball courts.
The MSA Outdoor Basketball Classic has been revived by a trio of Abbotsford basketball players, and returns to the MSA basketball courts from Aug. 12 to 14.
Yale teacher Ace Brar told his son Matt Brar and his friends Jamie Konrad and Mitch Howden about the event, which ran for several years in the early 1980s. His stories about the past tournament inspired the three to bring it back.
The eight-team tournament will donate all funds raised through sponsorship and donations to Canuck Place. For more information on the event, contact Brar at matt.brar15@gmail.com.
