Mustangs Classic opens Thursday

Twenty teams converge for annual senior girls and boys basketball tournaments

 

The 2015 version of the Mustang Classic girls and boys basketball tournaments tip off Thursday at Immaculata Regional High School and the co-host school, Kelowna Christian.

Among the opening games in the girls event are the host Mustangs taking on Clarence Fulton at 4 p.m. at Immaculata, while the OKM Huskies face Vernon Secondary at 7:30 p.m. at KCS.

Over on the boys side, the 12-team tourney will feature KSS juniors and Pen High at 9 a.m. at Immaculata. The host Mustangs will play the winner at 2:15 p.m.

Kelowna Christian will play at KCS at 2:15 p.m. Thursday against the winner of Princess Margaret and Mt. Sentinel.

The boys final will be played Saturday at 4 p.m. at Immaculata, with the girls’ final set for 5:45 p.m., also at IRHS.
