Shoot some hoops. Get great instruction from proven high school coaches. And get fit in the process.
It’s all part of the fun-filled Steve Nash Youth Basketball program which is ready for the new fall season in Vernon. Coaches include Mike Bertram, Bobby Mitchell, Kulwinder Smith and Malcolm Reid.
“The many experienced coaches have found a way to teach the fundamentals of basketball and make it fun,” said program co-ordinator Johnal Smith.
Sessions run on Fridays from 5:30-7 p.m. and the season starts Oct. 7 at various elementary school gyms.
“We had 120 kids playing at six schools last year and we’re expecting 150 kids at eight schools this year,” said Lee.
Fee is $100 and includes a jersey and basketball. Register online at vernon.snyb.ca, or send an e-mail to SteveNashBasketball@gmail.com.
