A Nelson minor hockey player will take part in this week’s B.C. Cup.
Joseph Davidson, who played the bantam team that won silver at last month’s provincials in Nelson, is just one of three Kootenay players to be included in the tournament.
He’ll be on the ice Thursday to Sunday in Salmon Arm for the tournament, which features 160 under-16 players on eight teams.
The tournament helps decide invites to the under-16 provincial camp in July, which in turn can lead to a spot on Team B.C. for next year’s Canada Winter Games.
