Nelson’s Levi Taylor will compete with Team B.C. at the junior nationals after winning a silver medal at the provincial junior Olympic weightlifting championships.
Taylor completed a snatch of 84 kilograms and a clean and jerk of 104 kilograms to finish second in the male 67 kilogram category. He had his lifts filmed at Power By You on Dec. 19 for the event, which was held virtually.
Junior nationals are set to be held in March.
The Taylor family is making a habit out of going to junior nationals. Emily Taylor took bronze at the January 2020 championships in Edmonton.
