North Enderby Timber maintained its stance atop the North Okanagan Men’s Soccer League with a 4-1 win over Turn-Key Controls Wednesday night at Marshall Field #3.
Brent Poulson burst up the right wing before burying a shot in the top right corner to open the scoring for the 7-1-1 timbermen.
Graham Ross then fed a through ball to Poulson, who was fouled by Turn-Key keeper Greg Douma inside the 18. Eric Vivian converted the resulting penalty kick.
A Ross corner found the foot of Bryn Knauf, who ran the ball into the net.
Turn-Key’s Jeremy Kler continued his hot streak up front, booting a left-foot strike to the top corner over the outstretched fingertips of NET keeper Danny Stein before the half.
Devin Janke corralled a long throw-in by Colby Buckham and found the top corner, shortside, to complete the scoring.
Douma made some huge saves, especially off NET’s set pieces. Recently added players Alex Nolan and Colby Finney had strong games for the 2-5-1 Turn-Key squad.
Concept Physio squandered a two-goal, first-half lead, falling 3-2 to Nation of Domination Eagle Homes Wednesday night at Marshall #5.
It was a close game, with Concept (3-4) taking the early lead on goals by Erik Ius and Alex Mcdougall.
NOD (3-3) rallied in the second half, scoring three early goals. Concept came close to tying the game, hitting two goal posts. Michael Conlin also drove a rocket off the crossbar.
Davidson Dynamite used deuces from Nathan Whitling and Albert Goldnik as they cruised to a 6-0 win over the host Salmon Arm Outlaws.
Pedro Garro and David Patino each chipped in with singles for the 4-2-2 Nitros.
The Outlaws are 0-7.
Unable to muster enough bodies, Monashee Surveying (3-3-1) defaulted to the host Revelstoke Stallions (3-1-2).
