“It’s something you just gotta see.”
Penticton Vees are not saying exactly what it is fans will see at Saturday’s B.C. Hockey League home opener at the South Okanagan Events Centre, but it will definitely be worth the price of admission.
“We’re getting another addition to our team,” is all Vees head coach and general manager Fred Harbinson would say about the surprise. “We’re adding different layers to our organization. We always talk about the fan experience and finding different ways to keep people engaged. The kids that come to our games are very important especially with Peters Bros. (paying for kids tickets) for the last four or five years.
“This is just another thing that will bring excitement to our game and exciting for the kids. It should be fun to unveil Saturday night.”
The Vees and Alberni Valley Bulldogs will face off for the first time this season at the South Okanagan Events Centre at 6 p.m.
