The 2016 Tim Horton’s B.C. Junior Curling Championships have come to a close in Kamloops, with a new champion crowned to represent B.C. at the nationals.
Team Daniels beat defending champions Team Brown 11-3 in the final this past weekend.
Local curler Michaela Douglas, second on Team Jensen, and her rink finished with a record of three wins and four losses in the round robin portion of the tournament, missing out on the medal round.
In a rematch from last year’s junior girls final in Parksville, Team Daniels beat out Team Brown to move on and represent Team B.C. at the nationals in Stratford, Ontario, beginning on January 23.
