The Victoria Minor Ball Hockey Association is hosting a free drop-in day for young players looking to try out the game before signing up.
Registrations have officially begun, but this Saturday, players from six to eight can try the game from 2 to 3:30 p.m. at the Eagle Ridge Community Centre, 1089 Langford Pky. in City Centre Park. Those aged nine and 10 are on the floor from 3:30 to 5 p.m.
All participants must have a CSA approved helmet with a cage, as well as gloves and a hockey stick.
Soccer-type shin pads are recommended.
Interested families can come down to ask questions as well before signing up. Volunteers will be on hand with registration and league information. For more information, visit vmbh.ca.
