Ladysmith swimmer Faith Knelson continued her winning ways at the Olympic Swim Trials in Toronto last week.
Earlier in March at the AAA Provincials in Victoria the Orca Swim Club member broke a seven year-old U16 provincial record in the 100m breaststroke.
In Toronto she broke a Canadian record in the 13/14 year old age group in the same event, with a time of one minute, 9.77 seconds – a record that had stood for 39 years.
Kenlson qualified for the B Finals at the Olympic Trials in the 100m and 200m breaststroke and for the 200m individual medley. She will be going to the Junior National Development Team training camp in Bermuda in May.
She credits Olympic Swim club coach Dusan Toth-Szabo, and the National Development Team Program with her success.
