Oceanside Generals beat Glacier Kings 4-1

The Comox Valley Glacier Kings lost 4-1 to the Oceanside Generals, Tuesday in a Vancouver Island Junior Hockey League game at the Comox Valley Sports Centre.

The Comox Valley Glacier Kings lost 4-1 to the Oceanside Generals, Tuesday in a Vancouver Island Junior Hockey League game at the Comox Valley Sports Centre.

The visitors scored twice in the first, and twice in the second period. The Yetis lone tally came from defenceman Dayton Keith at the mid-point of the third. Forward Jake Murray assisted.

Joben Douce and Matthias Smith shared goaltending duties for the Glacier Kings, who were outshot 25-16.

Last Saturday, the Kings lost 9-4 at home to the Kerry Park Islanders. Comox Valley was coming off its fourth win of the season — a 6-3 victory over the Storm in Campbell River Dec. 14.

The Storm — who lead the VIJHL North division — had beaten the Kings 7-2 on Dec. 8.

Comox Valley again meets up with the Storm Friday, Dec. 21 in Campbell River. Puck drop is 7:30 p.m. at the Rod Brind’Amour Arena.
