Oceanside Youth Soccer players turn to online practices

Organization encourages members to submit videos of themselves playing

Oceanside Youth Soccer has adjusted to players not being able to practise in person by introducing online training.

President Dave Robinson started creating videos on a Youtube channel with his two children. They have videos on receiving the ball, juggling and more.

“My husband (Dave Robinson) thought this would be a great idea to get to the kids in our community so they can continue practising their skills at home by themselves or with their families while we are going through this and unable to run our current soccer season,” said Jessica Robinson, whose kids and husband have been creating the videos. “He thought by making these videos and inviting our members to send in their own ideas to make this a fun contest during this difficult time.”

They’ve been encouraging members to send videos of them doing the practices, which makes them eligible for a gift card/voucher contest.

Even though the club is put on hold for now, members are still able to have fun and participate.
