A curling team representing Summerland, Penticton, the Okanagan Valley and the province of B.C. won the gold medal in a national curling meet.
The team competed at the Canada 55+ Games in Saint John, N.B. from Aug. 21 to 24.
More than 2,300 athletes from across Canada competed.
The curling team won gold in the Mixed 55+ Curling, defeating the New Brunswick team.
The Summerland and Penticton team consists of Tony and Lil Blashko and Glen and Tammy Brennan.
The score of the final game was 7-6.
