Penticton Vees outstanding defenceman James Miller was recognized by the BC Hockey League for the second time this season.
Miller, 6’2″, 190-pound, and playing in his third season with the Vees, was named the Player of the Month for November, announced Tuesday.
He was previously the BCHL’s Player of the Week ending Oct. 14 after scoring three goals and three assists.

Going into the November with a five-game scoring streak, the Spruce Grove, Alta. native finished the month with eight goals, adding 14 assists for a 13-game total of 22 points.
In 33 games this season he has racked up 43 points, including 13 goals, the most by a Vees defenceman since Mike Reilly netted 24 in 2011-12.
Prior to coming to Penticton the 20-year-old played two seasons with the Olds Grizzlies of the Alberta Junior Hockey League.
Miller went to the University of New Hampshire hockey program at the start of last season and returned to Penticton after Christmas.

In 20 games in 2017-18, he scored two goals and added eight helpers. To date in his junior career, spanning 90 games, Miller has 23 goals and 48 assists.
He will be back in action this weekend when the Vees play a home-and-home series with the Trail Smoke Eaters who are at the South Okanagan Events Centre Friday for a 7 p.m. start.
