The Rockets, who have just one player back from last year’s final-four entry, bowed 2-0 to the undefeated Regina Pat Canadians Monday night at Father David Bauer Arena.

The unbeaten Calgary Buffaloes bounced the Rockets 5-2 in tournament-opening play on Boxing Day. Vernon’s Nick Higgs drew the assist on Nolan Kneen’s goal with 4:28 to play.

Carter Rhine gave the Rockets a 1-0 lead midway through the first period.

The Ontario Avalanche of California iced the Rockets 6-3 Saturday at Father David Bauer Arena.

Zack Erhardt, with a deuce, and Levi Johnson scored for the Rockets, who also have forward Kaden Black of Vernon on their roster.
