The ultimate goal for a high school team is to play at the Provincial Championships.

Only 16 teams in the province make it to this level. To get there a school must compete in their local “Zone” and place in the top two. Then they advance to their “Valley Finals” where they meet other top teams from around their Valley (ours being the “Okanagan Valley). They must place in the top few of this eight-team tournament in order to qualify for the Provincial Championships.

This week, the Ashcroft Secondary Sr. Girls Basketball team will host the Okanagan Valley Finals where they are currently ranked #1. Their first game is on Thursday, Feb. 24 at 2 pm vs. Revelstoke. Teams will also play Friday and Saturday, (Feb. 25-26) with final games on Saturday at 5 pm and 6:45 pm.

Come and cheer your team on to victory! Bring your noise makers and school spirit and enjoy an evening of fast and exciting entertainment!
