One week delay for start of Friday Night Hoops

Long-time league run out of Brookswood Secondary will kick off Oct. 4

The fall season for Friday Night Hoops will be delayed by one week.

Scheduled to kick-off on Sept. 27, it will instead begin Oct. 4.

The weekly Friday night basketball camp runs out of Brookswood Secondary.

The camp is run by long-time basketball coach Neil Brown, and he will be joined by Frank Konig, an assistant for the SFU men’s team, and Linda Forsyth, a former UBC player.

Also coaching in the league are current Brookswood players Jessie Brown and Aislinn Konig. Brown played on the Team BC U17 team while Konig played for Canada’s U16 national cadet team.

The girls portion of Friday Night Hoops plays weekly at 5 p.m. while the boys follow at 6:30 p.m.
