Dollars to donuts there’s going to be some top-notch action at the 2010-11 Tim Hortons B.C. Senior Men’s Curling Championships.

Action at the Feb. 22-26 event in Kamloops gets underway Tuesday afternoon. Eight senior men’s teams will compete in a round-robin followed by a three-team playoff. Winners advance to the 2011 Canadian Senior Curling Championships in Digby, Nova Scotia, March 19-26.

The Comox Valley rink skipped by Wayne Harris of third Richard Tanguay, second Alan DeJersey and lead Stewart Larson opens Tuesday at noon when they meet Myron Nichol of Castlegar in Draw 1. They take on Gary Gelowitz of Kelowna in Draw 2 at 7 p.m.

On Wednesday, Harris meets Greg McAulay of Richmond at noon and Rob Ferguson of Trail in the evening. On Thursday, the locals take on John Shepard of Williams Lake in Draw 5 at noon and Sandy Grieg of Richmond in Draw 6 at 7 p.m. Round robin play wraps up Friday with Harris meeting Dean Thulin of Campbell River in Draw 7 at 9 a.m.
