Mission opened the event on Jan. 1, squaring off against the Port Moody Panthers at 1 p.m. at the Minoru Arena.
The Panthers had a 1-0 lead after one, made it 3-0 after two, and scored another goal in the third before Jacob Dorey got the Outlaws on the board with a shorthanded marker to make the final 4-1.
Mission failed to scored on three power play opportunities, while Port Moody scored a pair of goals with the man advantage.
Outlaws goalie Keaton Dyck made 28 saves in the loss.
The Outlaws returned to Richmond on Tuesday and fell behind 2-0 to the North Vancouver Wolf Pack en route to a 4-1 loss at the Minoru Arena.
North Vancouver made it 3-0 at 8:22 of the third period, but Dorey got the Outlaws on the board at 14:33 to make it a two-goal game. The Wolf Pack added an empty-net goal to make it a 4-1 final.
Mission again struggled shorthanded, allowing two goals on five opportunities. They failed to convert on the one power play they received.
Outlaws goalie Matthew Trulsen made 32 saves in the loss, while Mission fired 24 shots at the North Vancouver goalie.
The Outlaws fall to a record of 12 wins, 19 losses and two overtime losses after the pair of games, and remain in fourth place in the Harold Brittain conference.
Mission next hosts the Surrey Knights on Saturday at the MSA Arena. Faceoff is set for 6:45 p.m.
