A South Surrey diving coach has been honoured by the Governor General of Canada for her contributions to the sport.
Beverley Boys, founder of White Rock Divers, was appointed to the Order of Canada, according to a news release this week, which stated Boys was being recognized for “her contributions to the sport of diving as an athlete, coach, official and judge.”
Boys was one of 10 British Columbians to receive the honour; recipients will be invited to a ceremony at Rideau Hall to receive their awards.
