Race for Life was founded in 1981 in honour of Todd Kingsbury, a young BMX rider who passed away from leukemia at the age of 12. Together, clubs across Canada have raised over $60,000 for research and treatment for leukemia.
If you are interested in donating to the Race for Life, you can stop by the track on race-night Thursdays. You can also go to the Penticton BMX Facebook page and follow the link for the Race for Life there to donate there as well.
The next event the Penticton BMX Club will be hosting is their first provincial series of races on June 23.
