Mayor Henry Braun (middle) was among those celebrating the official opening on Friday of the new fields at Matsqui Recreation Centre (MRC). Three new turf fields are now available for use behind MRC, at Howe middle school and at W.J. Mouat secondary. Plans for construction of the fields was first approved by the city in 2014.
