Walnut Grove students shoveled piles of mushroom compost into five-pound bags to sell during a fundraiser for their track and field team.

Walnut Grove Secondary Grade 9 student Alexander Matson and Grade 8 student Liam Mithson spent their Saturday on April 13 shoveling piles of mushroom compost into five-pound bags to sell. This is the 17th year Walnut Grove has done a compost sale to raise money for their track and field team. Each year between 700 and 1,000 $5 bags are sold. This year the soil was donated to the students by Super Soil Inc.
