The annual Williams Lake Sportsmen's Association Fall Meat Shoot proved once again a success

The annual Williams Lake Sportsmen’s Association Fall Meat Shoot proved once again an overwhelming success, said organizers.

“We had 27 registered shooters, the competition was pretty stiff, but novice shooters had a good time, as well,” said one of the organizers, Danita Abercrombie.

Competitor Cynthia English, a novice shooter, commented prior to the event that she didn’t think she would win anything.

“But, her smile said it all after she won a couple prizes,” Abercrombie said.

English, meanwhile, said she’d like to thank the Williams Lake Sportsmen’s Association and the members from the shotgun group who worked hard to put on the annual event.

The WLSA’s next scheduled shoot will be its annual New Year’s Day Shoot on Jan. 1 at the WLYSA grounds on Bond Lake Road.
