The Penticton Pinnacles Spring Cup is hitting the pitch at Kings Park this weekend.
Starting Friday and wrapping up on Sunday, 40 teams in the age groups of under-11 to -17 will compete against each other. Ezra Cremers, head coach of the Pinnacles minor program, said they have been working hard to assure that the fields will be ready.
“As long as the snow holds off, we’re fine,” said Cremers, who said this tournament is used as a launch for the spring soccer season.
Cremers said that the South Okanagan Youth Soccer Association is still accepting registrations for this coming season. For info, check www.soysa.net.
