Hey kids – get out your catchers mitts and get ready for a fun day of learning how to pitch from a professional pitcher.  Joni Frei, a CanPitch Instructor from Next Level Athletics, will be coming to Barriere on February 12 to show you how it’s done.

“The funds raised during 2010 are paying for the pitching clinic,” explained Barriere Minor Ball president, Phil Ransome, “So this event will be free for all Barriere Minor Ball Players who were registered during 2010.  Anyone else attending will be charged $30 per pitcher.”

Each session will be limited to 10 players and will run one and a half hours.  The Mites will practice from 10-11:30 a.m.; the Squirts from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m.; Pee Wee and older from 1:30-3 p.m.

“Joni will be staying in the area overnight,” Ransome stated, “so if we get more than 30 pitchers signed up, there may be further sessions either later in the day on February 12, or possibly a few sessions on February 13.  It’s an exciting chance for our youth.”

To register for the pitching clinic, call Phil Ransome at 250-672-5846.
