On Friday, July 1 the third annual Devon Sutton-Havard Junior Men’s Memorial Baseball Tournament begins at South Aldergrove Park.
The tournament honours Devon, who passed away from cancer in July of 2008. At the tournament organizers have raffle prizes, with all money raised donated to the B.C. Cancer Foundation.
Also, at the tournament, a children’s book entitled “Goodnight Devon,” written by his mother Vera Sutton, will be available. Profit from the sale of the book also goes toward the BCCF.
The Aldergrove Junior Men play Friday, July 1 at 11 a.m. and 6:30 p.m., Saturday at 2 p.m., with the finals to follow on Sunday.
