Riders from 100 Mile House made a good showing at the annual 2011 Canadian Pony Club BC Interior North Regional Rally in Salmon Arm, Aug. 20-21.

Tiana Dykstra and Eden Schulte, along with their teammate, Carmen Agatiello of Ashcroft, competed as the Sage and Sands team, earning an award for exceptional teamwork.

All participated in setting up and maintaining their tack and feed rooms and working as grooms for each other through the riding competition.

In the ring, Dykstra had a good weekend, taking second place in the pre-training level on her horse, Victorious Secret. Day 1 of competition for Dykstra included a good dressage round and a clear jumping round with only a few time penalties.

The rally drew 13 teams from pony clubs in the Northern Interior, which covers an area that includes Penticton in the south and Prince George in the north.
