fight

A fight suddenly broke out with only two minutes to go in the second period.

The clash started during a blue-line face-off in front of the Laker’s bench when Penticton’s Sasha Hahn and Demchuk squared off.

Both were given five minutes for fighting and game misconducts.

Princeton scored its third goal of the game on the power play with just 15 seconds to play.

Bond made the score with assistance from Keenan Fordy. Kristensen was added later for the second assist.

The third period saw Penticton out-shoot Princeton 12 to 9 but Posse goalie Phoenix Logan-Hill blocked everything that came his way, eventually earning his first Kootenay International Junior Hockey League shut out.

The final score was 3-0 for Princeton.

Penticton took 31 shots on goal, while Princeton took 24.

Princeton’s next home games are on Jan. 20 against Sicamous and Jan. 21 against Osoyoos.
