Port Alberni golfer Christina Proteau could not stop a hot Judith Kyrinis in her attempt to capture a fifth Canadian Women’s Mid-Amateur title last weekend at Wolf Creek Golf Resort in Ponoka, AB.
Kyrinis won three national titles—mid-amateur, mid-master and senior—with a 4-under 68 in her final round.
Proteau finished with a 7-over 223 on the weekend to finish third in the mid-amateur.
Jackie Little of Port Alberni finished sixth in the mid-master and senior divisions respectively, and ninth in the mid-amateur with a 16-over combined total of 232.
Little was a member of Team BC that finished third in the inter-provincial team competition.
