Soccer season came early this year to Peter Skene Ogden Secondary School (PSO).
The girls’ team, with 29 players on the roster, has been practising indoors since February.
Community members, Keith Robinson and Rick Takagi, have taken on the coaching positions, with Amanda Robinson, a former student, and currently a student teacher at PSO, filling the role of teacher sponsor, along with Crystal Dawn Langton.
“It’s great to see so many girls coming out,” says Amanda. “They’ve been working hard, raising money for travel already.”
The team will travel to Summerland on the Easter long weekend to play its first tournament of the season.
