QUALICUM BEACH — From the Brent Morrison Golf Academy at Pheasant Glen in Qualicum Beach comes news of the accomplishments of its students.
Aaron Crawford, a 17-year-old student from Calgary who graduated from Kwalikum Secondary School this year, won the 2012 Western Future links championship. He also finished fourth in the Alberta Junior boys championship and won the Maple Leaf Junior Tours World Junior qualifying tournament.
Shirin Anjarwalla, 12, from Nanaimo, won 15 BCGA zone 6 events, most notably the past 13 summer tour events in a row. She won junior of the year in the girls division of the BCGA in zone 6.
Santiago Bouyra, 15, and a student from Mexico, who has lived here for the past two years and attends KSS, won the Junior Masters Championship in Las Vegas. He qualified for the B.C. and Canadian Boys Championships as well as the BC Men’s Amateur Championship.
Cory Tucker, 17, from Ontario who lived here the past two years and graduated from KSS this year, won one BCGA zone 6 tournament.
Doug Skulsky, 18, from Calgary who lived here for the spring semester, qualified for the Alberta Junior Championship.
Cole Morrison, 15, from Qualicum Beach, qualified for the B.C. Junior (see results on this page, below). He finished third in the BCGA zone 6 Junior.
Luigi Trozzo, 16, from Qualicum Beach, also qualified for the BC Junior Championship.
