Quesnel Junior School’s Ruby Nicholas, who has been next to unbeatable all season, continued her dominance by winning the overall Junior Girls (Grade 8-10) title, with over a minute lead on her nearest competitor.
Megan Strand, who races out of Correlieu Secondary School (CSS), placed fourth overall in the Junior Girls race, and won bronze in the Junior Girls category.

The Quesnel Junior School’s Junior Boys team, which is made up of Caleb Woollends, Judah Klassen, Linden Spencer, Tyson Roberts, Owen Rossmann, Lucas Arnold and Joshua Tilsner, placed second.
Their older counterparts at CSS, the Senior Boys team, which features Joshua Andres, Adam Nicholas, Matthew Caine and Christopher Henderson, earned second place for teams as well.
“All of the runners made huge strides compared to their previous race in Vanderhoof,” says head coach Scott Trueman, “with many of them knocking two-plus minutes off their times.
“They really stepped it up, and we’re proud of their performances.”
